Attaching an up-to-date email address to your account is a great step toward better account security. There are two steps to updating your email address:

Confirm your email address
Note: Every time you update the email address associated with your Twitter account, we send an email notification to the email address you are using to alert you. For more information about such alerts, read about account security.

Update your email address
In the top menu, tap on your profile icon, then tap Settings and Privacy.
Tap on the account.
Tap on email.
Enter your email address and tap on next.
Note: An email address can only be associated with one Twitter account at a time.
Sign in to your email account to confirm your email address. Read more about confirming your email address below.
Update your email address
In the top menu, you will see either a navigation menu icon or your profile icon. Tap on whatever icon it is, and choose
Settings and Privacy.
Tap on the account.
Tap on email.
Enter your email address and tap on next.

Update your email address
Login to twitter.com and visit your account settings page.
Type your email address in the Email field.
Note: An email address can only be associated with one Twitter account at a time.
Click the Save Changes button at the bottom of the page.
A dialog box will appear which will ask you to confirm your Twitter password. Type your password in that box and click
Save Changes.
You will immediately see a yellow message on your homepage, in which you will be asked to confirm your email change.
Unless you confirm your new email address, it will remain there. Read more about confirming your email address below.
Note: Your email address does not appear in your public profile on Twitter. If you did not turn off the option to let others find me with my email address, then those who already have your email address can find your Twitter account. Learn more about your email and phone number visibility privacy settings.
Confirm your email address
When you update the email address associated with your account, we will send you an email, which will ask you to confirm this change. Click the Confirm Now button in the email we send to let us know that the email address is yours.
Log in to the email inbox of the address you just updated.
Open an email that lets you invite Twitter from your account to confirm your account.
Click on the Confirm Now button in that email.
We will send you to your Twitter account and if you are not already logged in, we will ask you to log in.
Note: If you do not complete the confirmation process above, then your email will remain in the unconfirmed status. This means that you will not be able to take advantage of some account features, such as requesting your tweets collection or availing the security feature such as login verification.
